Is the grass really greener on the other side? Katiya is about to find out.
This is Katiya:

She came to me one evening a few weeks after I completed Bound By Deception. Her anger was palpable and she insisted that I listen to her story. Kat had an unsolvable problem. In her society, divorce never happens. It isn’t because of religion or politics but plain old biology. She had an issue with me, particularly because I had made it that way. I tried to explain to her how the “forced monogamy” thing worked nicely in the first story and I liked it. It wasn’t going anywhere. Her resolve was set, then. Kat told me she would find a way around the life-long mating and enjoy herself. I simply warned her that things often were not as they seemed and the grass was definitely not greener on the other side.
She just said, “We’ll see!”
Meet Katiya’s mate, Lucas. Everyone calls him Luke, though.
Lucas Komar
After speaking with Katiya, I had to approach her mate Lucas. I really needed to understand what had split those two apart. No surprise, he wasn’t very forthcoming. In fact, he stood there with his arms crossed over his chest, one eyebrow quirked up and the tips of his fangs showing. Menacing, for sure, but no help. All he would say, or actually demand, was that he wanted his female back, as of yesterday. He also “suggested” I do it right away.
So I dove head first into their story. A few paragraphs in and I realized that Katiya was really going to have a hard time with splitting from her mate. She faced deadly consequences for herself and Luke. However, she did manage to wheedle her way around things and early on in the first chapter, I got to see what she was up to.
Her secret is a doozy. Like she promised me, she managed to find a way to get her fun.
I had a hard time keeping the secret from Luke. As the pages unfolded and his seduction of his mate began, I realized that I wanted to be far away when he found out what Katiya was doing behind his back. Lucas is one dangerous vampire and making him mad wasn’t good for my health.
So how did things turn out for Katiya and Lucas? Well, they sure had a wild ride ahead of them. Check out Bound By Rebellion and see what Kat did, how Luke reacted and the resultant consequences. I will say that once Luke finally has a chance to seduce his mate, he holds nothing back. Katiya is one lucky female.
